Daniel's Fourth Week

Monday, Sept. 19

This past week, Daniel met his Great-Grandparents who were visiting from Maryland. Four generations were together for the first time when we all celebrated Grandpa Norris' birthday. Daniel also met an old friend of the family (who remembers when Matt was little) and his "Aunt" Becky. I felt like Matt, Daniel and I were a little family of our own within the larger O. family.
His Great Grandfather bounced him in his lap while he hummed classical music and his Great Grandmother held him while we watched a documentary in which she spoke about her life as a "Government Girl" during WWII. His Grandparents and uncles held him too - so it felt like the only time I got to hold him was during feedings! But I felt very blessed that we could all be together on such a beautiful day, enjoying the outdoors, to talk about good memories and new life.
