Crawling, Standing, and Speaking Out

Dad here again:

Daniel is finally crawling! He was doing all the pre-crawl things: rolling, rocking, pushing his hind end up. One day, he realized he could get to the cat if he crawled over to her, and he was off. He crawled all the way across the couch to get to her. For a brief moment, his plan worked. Then, as always, she ran away. :)

He's had a good deal of practice (in only 3 weeks!) and he's now pulling up regularly, and attempting to walk by holding on to things (he can get a few steps). He's now attempting to get into everything.

Speaking of speaking, he's not exactly talking yet, but his babble has started to sound more coherent. He calls me dada or sometimes DAD! with a fair amount of regularity. To her dismay, Daniel isn't quite saying mama just yet. He seems to be calling our cat "deedee!" which sounds a bit like DB (our nickname for Muad'Dib).

Honest, I'll try to post some pictures soon of Daniel in action. Till then...
