Notes From Dad

Dad here. Usually, Becca updates here, but she's been busy with school . Daniel is growing so fast! Soon, he will be 7 months old...it's hard to believe. Already, he is babbling, rolling over, and he started solid food last month. I think green beans are his favorite so far. But he eats everything like it's going out of style.

So, now that Becca is back in school, Daniel is in daycare, and he loves it. We were a bit worried dropping him off the first time...but he just started smiling when he saw all the toys, and he even likes interacting with the other kids.

The past few weeks he has had a problem with an ear infection, that seems determined to drive us all nuts (yeah, I know: short trip). First, we had to take him out of daycare with a fever of 103, and he was so miserable he was crying in his sleep. We tried amoxicillin, which only hid and delayed the next fever and infection, and then omnicef, which did the same thing, and he just had a course of three super-power shots (which were his first non-immunization or blood sticks). We're hoping this does the trick, because the next step is fairly drastic, and no fun for anybody.

But, it's Spring Break for Becca, and perfect timing for that. Maybe another post this week from her? We'll see...
